Quando si richiama uno script, MATLAB esegue semplicemente i comandi trovati nel file.Gli script possono operare sui dati esistenti del workspace, oppure possono creare nuovi dati su cui operare. Gli script non restituiscono argomenti di output, ma eventuali variabili create restano nel workspace per l'utilizzo in calcoli successivi
